HISTORY
The company was founded in 1985 by A. Dordella in Barcelona under the name TEX. Initially, the company was dedicated to the manufacture of measuring instruments for industrial refrigeration and heating equipment, as well as room thermometers or hygrometers for warehouses. Expanding this line, they came to manufacture wine thermometers and the manufacture of wine thermometers led to the manufacture of other accessories related to the world of wine such as alcoholimeters, distillers, stoppers, corkscrews...
At the beginning of the 90s, the company incorporated the first articulated double lever corkscrew into its collection by R. Brucart, thus completing the collection of wine accessories that was renamed PULLTEX®, the Pulltap's® corkscrew quickly became the corkscrew most used by wine professionals around the world.
Between 2000 and 2010, new commercial offices were opened in Italy and France with their own warehouses to be able to operate directly in those countries, and an extensive range of distributors and agents were completed that operated to expand the brand throughout the world.
The company completed its wine collection with other accessories and patents such as the Pullparrot® retractable lever, the Nigota® anti-drip sheet, the silicone wine and champagne stoppers, or the ClickCut®, with an easy knife opening system. In 2010, another inventor, C. Martinez, a doctor of applied chemistry, gave PULLTEX the patent for the Pulltex®AntiOx antioxidant wine stopper, a stopper that allows open wine bottles to be kept in perfect condition for up to 10 days. Later this patent will also evolve to be able to preserve the bottles of Champagnes, and other sparkling wines.
Already in 2020 the company has taken an innovative course more aimed at sustainability and the protection of the planet, developing a new line of packaging and products that are more respectful with the environment. Along these lines, we are also incorporating new solidarity and social initiatives.
